Job Description
In this role, Support Technicians work with a global team to assist airlines around the world in resolving a variety of issues. Support Technicians assist customers with Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations, require quick responses to return aircraft to revenue service, help resolve issues with parts and tooling support, and help customers interpret aircraft and engine manuals.
Responsibilities- 24/7/365 operation providing technical, logistics, and diagnostics support to internal and external customers.
- Provide aircraft on ground (AOG) coverage.
- Strong analysis capabilities to interpret and clarify technical manuals, service bulletins, and repair procedures.
- Resolve tooling and support equipment questions and troubleshoot engine systems.
- Process customer requests for assignment to applicable subject matter experts.
- Provide AOG parts availability and quotations.
- Coordinate with the Distribution Center for AOG parts orders.
- Monitor phone lines and direct customer inquiries to the appropriate teams/departments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent PC skills, experience using MS Office, MS Outlook, and Excel.
- Must be able to work on weekends and 2nd shift as needed.
- Preference for mechanical/aerospace-related study, experienced aviation technician, or experience in Military aircraft maintenance.
- Experience in Aerospace/Airline operations.
- General understanding of gas turbine systems and operating principles.
The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $25,000 to $30,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including but not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
