- Install, configure, and maintain database system software to ensure robust security and performance
- Monitor and analyze database performance for optimal utilization and availability
- Maintain database dictionaries, support tools, and documentation for accuracy
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship on database systems and tools
- Implement business continuity and disaster recovery solutions, including backup strategies
- 4+ years of Greenplum administration experience, including performance tuning and optimization of complex SQL queries
- Hands-on experience with Greenplum tools such as MADlib, PXF, and others
- Strong SQL development skills and experience in data warehousing environments
- Proficiency in Bash scripting, Python, and UNIX/Linux (RHEL) environments
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as IBM Data Stage or similar
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Databricks and Spark-based data processing
