Valencia College is now hiring a Full‑Time Data Analyst to join our passionate and dedicated Institutional Research team. We are seeking a detail‑oriented and collaborative Data Analyst with strong experience in Power BI and data visualization. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and presenting data reports and dashboards that support institutional planning, decision‑making, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable training and presenting to end users on how to effectively use analytics tools and reports.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience working in Institutional Research, higher education, or a similar data‑driven environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience using Power BI for data modeling, dashboard creation, and reporting.
  • Strong background in data visualization and communicating data insights to non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and validate data for accuracy and consistency.
  • Experience presenting and training end users on data tools and reports.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.

Additional Information:

  • This position will operate in a primarily remote environment. The role involves occasional travel, attendance at meetings and campus events, and on‑campus work as needed.

1. Maintains and updates the Institutional Research (IR) website to ensure timely access to data and reports; including designing and publishing reports.

2. Researches, analyzes, and validates data and reports to ensure accuracy, monitor trends, and identify key opportunities.

3. Provides initial interpretations of data, identifying patterns, anomalies, and implications.

4. Develops summary reports, data briefs, and visualizations that communicate findings clearly and effectively.

5. Collaborates with IR personnel to clarify data needs and support meaningful use of research results.

6. Develops and maintains dashboards, scorecards, and talent analytics that support continuous improvement.
