Senior Database Administrator, SQL Server - 100% REMOTE, Spain
We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server
. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-level database solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments
, with a strong focus on performance tuning and high availability

Location: 100% Remote (Spain-based candidates only)
Qualifications & Experience- 7+ years in database engineering, administration, and performance tuning
. - Strong expertise in SQL Server (T‑SQL, stored procedures).
- Proficiency in SSRS and SSIS.
- Advanced skills in query optimization and execution plan analysis.
- Experience with high‑availability setups:
Always On, clustering,
replication
, log shipping. - Solid understanding of database security, auditing, and compliance.
- Knowledge of Python and/or Power Shell scripting
. - Hands‑on experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance.
- Design, implement, and manage high-performance Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Optimize queries, indexes, and stored procedures for performance and scalability.
- Administer Azure SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance, ensuring security and availability.
- Develop and maintain SSRS reports and SSIS ETL packages.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, replication failures, and security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams on database optimization and structure.
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability strategies (Always On, clustering, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with database security best practices and industry standards.
- Lead database migrations, upgrades, and cloud adoption initiatives.
- Experience with cloud‑native database solutions and automation.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD for database deployments.
- Understanding of No
SQL databases and hybrid cloud environments.
- Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional
