About the Team

New Verticals is an exciting team at Door Dash that is building and scaling new ways to delight our customers beyond restaurant delivery.

Our Catalog, Fulfillment and Logistics team has three major mandates to effectively onboard merchants, fulfill every order with speed & accuracy and improve our logistics network. We are able to do this by identifying efficiencies, building product toolings and launching operational processes  will own metrics, pull operational & product levers and drive impactful results across our Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol and Retail businesses.

About the Role

We are looking to build out our team with 2 Associate Managers who will focus on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives on the New Verticals Fulfillment pod. You will lead the scoping, go-to-market, and iteration of cutting-edge tech solutions to help Door Dash improve selection coverage across our Convenience, Grocery, Alcohol, and Retail businesses. You will work on initiatives that address selection gaps to improving the way we manage and predict inventory through machine learning.

You will partner with the Machine Learning, Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams. You will sit in Catalog, Fulfillment, and Logistics group within our New Verticals Strategy & Operations organization and report into a Manager. This is an individual contributor position.

    You ll spearhead cross-functional projects, collaborating with Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to develop and implement tech solutions that increase selection across our New Vertical offerings.
  • Strategize: You will own and deliver on improving key selection metrics. You’ll create and execute quarterly and annual strategic plans aligned with product capabilities to elevate order quality.
  • Build
    :
    You will build strategic initiatives and drive innovation across our offerings; this can vary from AI-powered selection predictions to improving the CX shopping experience. This means everything from high-level strategy to operational details.

  • You have 4-6+ years of experience. You’ve succeeded in high-performing cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, startups or a related experience).
  • You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.
