What We’re Looking For
Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Database Administrator to join our IT Development Team. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual tomanage our databases and resources, ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of our critical data assets. On a typical day, you might:
- Provide assistance with reporting as needed utilizing Power BI, third-party solutions, SSRS, SSIS, SSMS, R and Python.
- Work closely with IT departments in regard to the exchange and ingestion of data for reporting purposes, including third-party vendors and tools.
- Develop and modify existing databases, warehouses and database management systems.
- Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
- Plan, coordinate and implement security measures (including regular audits) to safeguard information in databases and computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
- Specify users and user access levels for each segment of the databases.
- Review and approve database modifications and data models including data elements, data descriptions and how they are used, following procedures and using pen, template or computer software.
- Monitor development methods and modify, as needed, for integrating diverse products so they work properly together, such as customizing commercial databases to fit specific needs.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
- Develop reference and workflow documents for documentation purposes.
- Revise agency definition of data as defined in data dictionary.
- Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for the Informatics Director and/or Chief Information Officer.
