Regional Operations Specialist – Chicago, Illinois; Remote

Western Union is looking for a Regional Operations Specialist – Chicago, Illinois (Remote) to join our tech‑focused operations team. The role requires a keen technical aptitude, strong customer‑service orientation, and the ability to manage day‑to‑day operations that keep the business moving smoothly.

• Serve as the primary technical champion for our field agents and internal teams.
• Optimize and maintain business applications, tools, and solutions such as WUPOS, Prepaid, Peripherals, and other critical systems.
• Provide proactive tech support to resolve software or hardware issues experienced by agents.
• Analyze system data and trends to recommend and implement new tools or process improvements.
• Collaborate with business units to ensure technology aligns with strategic priorities and operational goals.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong IT skills: proficiency with cloud solutions, networking, web hosting, and business tools (Power BI, Snowflake, Service Now, SPLUNK).
• Experience troubleshooting business applications and providing customer‑facing support.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Strong learning agility and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
• Fluency in English required; bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (required for 20‑30% travel).

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 – $80,000 USD per year. Total on‑target compensation includes a base salary and short‑term incentives aligned with individual and company performance.

This role is classified as Hybrid. Employees are expected to work from the office a minimum of three days a week while also having the flexibility to work remotely as needed.

Travel is anticipated at approximately 20‑30% of the work schedule. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required for in‑territory travel.
