Reporting to the Network Services Manager, the Network Engineer II is responsible for implementing and supporting wide area networks (WAN), and for providing third level support for local area networks (LAN) for Powers Health. The Network Engineer II also works with various support teams to resolve site-specific network issues of implementation, operation, and performance, affecting a variety of computing devices. Some of the higher level tasks the Network Engineer II will have to handle will be researching network enhancements, developing and implementing upgrade plans, and providing advanced troubleshooting.
This position is a hybrid in-office/remote work schedule.

Required Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years of WAN/LAN support experience with Cisco routers, Cisco switches, HP switches, Cisco ASA or Palo Firewalls.
- Proven ability to perform advanced troubleshooting in a complex network environment.
- Commitment to issue resolution in a 24x7x365 organization.
- Expert knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP required.
- Firewall experience with either Cisco or Palo Alto required.
- Cisco routing and switching experience required.
- Cisco Data Center switching (Nexus, ACI) experience preferred.
- Experience with load balancing technology and global load balancing preferred.
- Cisco wireless experience preferred.
- Cisco ISE experience preferred.
- Healthcare setting experience preferred.
- Participates in a 24 x 7 x 365 on-call rotation schedule.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional Certification preferred.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- IT healthcare experience preferred.
- Scripting knowledge is a plus.
