Overview
Oracle Government Defense and Intelligence (GDI) is seeking a Cloud Solution Architect (Database Specialist) with passion for cloud concepts, system integration, and cloud migrations to support customer-facing engagements and internal Oracle sales efforts. This hybrid role is based in Reston, VA/Greater Washington DC area, with onsite 3–4 days per week and some remote work 1–2 days per week depending on business needs.
The role focuses on becoming an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and presenting the value proposition to partners, prospects, customers, and the internal sales force.
Responsibilities- Understand, identify, and document client requirements; conduct business and technical studies; design, develop, integrate, and implement information systems business solutions; provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security, and service delivery.
- Provide pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective clients while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Act as a technical resource, mentor, and leader for less experienced Solution Engineers.
- Develop and deliver high-quality Oracle presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept implementations.
- Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction, and overall Oracle solutions.
- Design, validate, and present Oracle cloud architecture solutions, including advanced concepts, future direction, and third-party complementary products.
- Support the sales team in online and in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge and experience with public cloud providers including Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP) architecture, tools, and cloud methodologies.
- Solution Architect and/or Developer Certification on Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Cloud computing experience.
- 10+ years of relevant computer applications or database/tools experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with government accreditations for Cloud such as FedRAMP, Impact Level, and ICD 503.
- Ability to travel as needed; approximately 25% of the time.
- BS degree or equivalent.
- Cloud certifications are highly desirable.
- Oracle product experience is highly desirable.
- Job duties are varied and complex, requiring independent judgment.
- May have a project lead role.
- Active or ability to obtain and maintain Secret or TS/SCI clearance – US Citizen.
