Senior Database Administrator

We're looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our AI applications team. This is a fully remote position for candidates in the continental U.S., with work hours aligned to the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.

• Provide all activities related to the administration of computerized databases.
• Project long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.
• Design, create, and maintain databases in a client/server environment.
• Conduct quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
• Advise users on access to various client/server databases.
• Design, implement, and maintain complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
• Apply knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end /back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL).
• Perform database programming and supports systems design.
• Include maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.

• 5 years of experience with database query languages
• 3 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDMS)
• Secret Clearance
• IAM Level II OR COMPTIA Sec+
• Google Associate Cloud Engineer OR Google Professional Architect
• Experience working in Google Cloud and one additional cloud (AWS, Azure, Oracle, IBM)
• Experience in at least two large-scale database projects
• Knowledge of Oracle, SQL, or PL/SQL
• Knowledge of an automation script language

• Additional cloud certifications from either Oracle, AWS, Azure, or IBM
• Experience working in government contracts, specifically DOD.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix
