We’re looking for a skilled Audio/Visual (A/V) Technician who thrives in dynamic environments and is eager to support a fast‑paced, high‑impact mission.
The A/V Technician will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our organization’s conference room and event technology. This role will provide hands‑on assistance for meetings, executive events, and live productions across our campus. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem‑solver with experience in A/V operations and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Provide immediate, on‑site assistance for A/V issues in conference rooms, huddle spaces, and large event areas.
- Support, maintain, and optimize A/V infrastructure, including Logitech, Huddly, and Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) systems.
- Configure and maintain Q‑SYS audio DSP and control systems for conferencing and room automation.
- Operate, configure, and maintain video wall and digital signage systems across offices, production floors, and lab environments.
- Manage and organize A/V inventory and logistics across multiple facilities.
- Set up, operate, and dismantle A/V equipment for meetings, events, and live productions — including secure and executive sessions.
- Perform proactive system health checks, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance to ensure consistent performance.
- Troubleshoot complex A/V, network, and integration issues spanning hardware, software, and connectivity layers.
- Provide end‑user support, training, and installation assistance for A/V and collaboration systems.
- Manage support requests and incidents through Service Now, ensuring timely updates and resolution tracking.
- Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and Security teams to ensure A/V systems are integrated, secure, and compliant.
- Produce and support podcasts, live streams, and internal broadcast events as needed.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours and weekend event or system support.
- Travel to remote offices, event sites, or production facilities (up to 25%).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Audio Visual field; IT experience is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience with Logitech, Huddly, and Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) systems.
- Experience with Q‑SYS audio DSP configuration, control, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with video wall and digital signage technologies and content management systems.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situations involving executives or government officials.
- Comfortable lifting and transporting A/V equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
- Experience supporting A/V systems in production or manufacturing environments, including factory floors, engineering labs, or test facilities.
- Familiarity with Bright Sign or similar digital signage management tools.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, PoE, and VLAN configuration for A/V systems.
- Background in podcasting, live streaming, or video production.
- Experience supporting A/V systems in secure or classified communications environments.
- Proficiency with Service Now or similar IT service management platforms.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional standing and walking within the office.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports.
