Position: Systems Administrator/DevOps Engineer (Top Secret clearance)

The Work

We are seeking a System Administrator / Dev Ops Engineer to support secure, automated deployments and manage cloud infrastructure in a high security, cleared government environment. This role is critical in reducing system downtime, accelerating update cycles, and ensuring infrastructure resilience and compliance with federal security standards.

Job Location

Primarily remote, with occasional business travel to Washington, D.C. and Monterey, California.

What You Will Do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software deployments.

• Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or other government-authorized platforms), ensuring high availability and compliance with security policies.

• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to streamline system integration and deployment processes.

• Proactively identify and resolve system performance issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational continuity.

• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.

• Support system hardening, patch management, and vulnerability remediation in accordance with STIGs and RMF guidelines.

• Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and security controls.

• Participate in incident response and recovery efforts, ensuring systems remain secure and operational.

What You Will Bring With You

• Candidate must have an active Secret clearance or higher
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in system administration and/or Dev Ops roles in a secure or government environment.

What We Would Like You To Bring With You

• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS Gov Cloud, Azure Government, etc.) and automation tools.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with RMF, STIGs, and federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Sys Ops Administrator, CompTIA Security+, or RHCE are a plus.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $89,203.00 - $ Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
