- Design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions supporting the Delivery Operations Information System (DOIS) modernization project
- Utilize AI tools like Git Hub Copilot for database optimization and code generation
- Manage data migration from legacy systems to cloud-native databases such as AWS Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL
- Implement data retention and archiving strategies in compliance with data governance policies
- Conduct database performance tuning to ensure high availability and scalability
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields preferred; or 4 additional years of relevant work experience if no degree
- 3+ years of experience in database engineering and management
- Strong understanding of data migration, ETL processes, and data warehousing
- Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases such as Postgre
SQL, MySQL, and No
SQL - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database - Specialty)
- Experience in a USPS environment or similar federal IT projects
- Certification in database management (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate)
- Familiarity with modern database technologies and platforms such as Databricks and MongoDB
- Experience with Version One Agile Lifecycle Management Tool
