Sr. Cloud Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Cloud Engineer, you will be part of the Infrastructure and Security Department supporting cloud infrastructure and security initiatives. The ideal candidate will have proactive problem‑solving skills, excellent research abilities, and strong communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr. Cloud Engineer

Location: Remote

Contract Type: W2 only

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud environments including EC2, EKS clusters, and S3 buckets.
• Lead migration efforts from Ubuntu 20 to Ubuntu 22, updating automation baselines and ensuring compatibility with proprietary images.
• Implement role‑based access controls, replacing static credentials with IAM roles and integrating with secure authentication systems.
• Set up and maintain isolated QA and production clusters for compliance testing and operational stability.
• Automate security and credential management processes, including credential rotation and email relay configurations.

• 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS environments.
• Deep expertise in Terraform, Ansible, and Linux (Ubuntu/Red Hat).
• Proven experience with AWS IAM roles, EKS clusters, and Secrets Manager.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Team City, Git Hub, Git Lab, Jenkins, and Argo.
• Strong understanding of security compliance frameworks like FedRAMP and SOC 2.
