Network Administrator I (Remote from anywhere in CO)
Join the Colorado Department of Revenue’s Governor’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) as a Network Administrator I to support our mission of improving the lives of all Coloradans through innovative technology.
Responsibilities- Provide entry‑level technical network communications support.
- Develop functional knowledge of LAN, WAN, and network communication technologies.
- Assist the team in the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing equipment such as routers, switches, wireless access points, controllers, and VoIP technologies.
- Manage incident ticket intake and resolve issues promptly, using technical knowledge and escalation as required.
- Occasional travel outside the Denver metro area, with expenses reimbursed per state policy.
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience as a dedicated Network Administrator utilizing Cisco devices (switches/routers) in a medium to large enterprise environment.
- Relevant years of state service in a similar role.
- Professional experience in information technology, network operations, and support.
- Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service skills.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
- Experience managing multiple ISP circuits and scheduling cutovers.
- Compliance with screening procedures, including a pre‑employment background check; a drug test may be required for certain agencies.
- Travel within Colorado and occasionally across the state.
- Remote work must be performed in Colorado. Out‑of‑state applicants must relocate and reside in Colorado by the first day of employment.
- Position may support multiple vacancies.
