IT Business Analyst, Technical Writer
Our client is looking to bring on a Business Analyst to support new learning initiatives.
Candidates must have experience working on global foreign language (localization) initiatives or programs
With business side PMs, conduct workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings to gather business objectives and functional needs.
Ensure alignment between business goals and technical feasibility.
Map current workflows and identify gaps or inefficiencies.
Recommend improvements that support product strategy and technical constraints.
Create clear, structured artifacts on Confluence
Include both business “what” and light technical “how” details for clarity.
Translate business requirements into user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with PMs and other IT team BA’ on tech teams to ensure stories are actionable.
Act as a liaison between business PMs, technical PMs/BAs, and development teams.
Ensure all parties have a shared understanding of scope and priorities.
Work closely with technology-side BAs to validate technical feasibility.
Align business requirements with system architecture and design.
Maintain a traceability matrix to link business objectives to functional and technical requirements.
Ensure coverage and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze the impact of requirement changes on business processes and technical components.
Communicate risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
Assist QA teams by clarifying requirements and acceptance criteria.
Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to confirm business needs are met.
Skills & Qualifications
This is a Contract position based out of Charlottesville, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 – $65.00/hr.
