RoleLinux Engineer/Administrator dedicated to Customer Success. You will support technical needs of customers leveraging Ubuntu and open‑source products across Desktop and Server environments.
Responsibilities- Investigate and resolve customer issues through research and escalation.
- Work on complex problems related to Canonical’s portfolio of products.
- Own support cases to meet Service Level Agreements and achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Engage customers via phone, ticketing system, and remote sessions.
- Participate in a regular weekend working rotation.
- Contribute to and maintain knowledge base articles.
- Understand Ubuntu development processes to set realistic expectations.
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
- Exceptional academic record from high school and university.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative of an alternative path.
- Track record of exceeding expectations and delivering outstanding results.
- Experience with Linux troubleshooting (log collection, stack traces, configuration editing).
- Experience integrating Linux with other environments (authentication, directory services, network file systems).
- Ability to navigate stack traces and logs and advise on next steps.
- Solid understanding of OS and application bugs and escalation thresholds.
- Quick learner, adaptable to change, and adept at handling pressure in a customer‑facing role.
- Programming fundamentals in any language.
- Availability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks.
- Extensive customer support experience prioritising customer needs and communication.
