What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field;
Juris Doctor preferred. - 2‑5 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or privacy role in a globally serving company.
- Experience with GDPR, PIPEDA, CCPA/CPRA, and other privacy laws.
- Experience conducting privacy impact assessments, audits, or compliance monitoring.
- Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex legal concepts.
- Problem‑solving mindset; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal research and privacy management tools.
- Understanding of data protection technologies and information security principles (encryption, pseudonymization, access controls).
- Familiarity with IT systems, databases, and data flow mapping.
Bonus points for:
- Working with international teams and cross‑border data transfer rules.
- Prior experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/C, CIPP/US or CIPP/EU.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on privacy‑related developments, regulatory changes, and enforcement trends.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing privacy‑related agreements, including data processing agreements and vendor contracts.
- Monitor updates in data privacy laws and share insights with internal teams.
- Develop and implement internal privacy policies and procedures aligned with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Maintain records of incidents and support compliance with the incident‑response plan, including breach notifications.
- Review and assess third‑party service providers’ privacy practices and advise on due‑diligence processes for onboarding new vendors.

- Advise on due‑diligence and onboarding processes.
- Organize and maintain vendor data processing agreements.
Salary & Benefits (USA‑based roles only): $113,000‑$153,000 USD, plus participation in benefits program (health, dental, 401k, paid time off, equity grant, incentive programs).
Salary & Benefits (Canada‑based roles only): $96,000‑$130,000 CAD, plus participation in benefits program (health, dental, RRSP, paid time off, equity grant, incentive programs).
