• Analyze and troubleshoot complex information security problems and incidents to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Monitor information security issues and stay up-to-date on emerging threats and technologies
• Provide expert advice on security best practices to guide the organization
• Lead the development of plans to address security issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Produce knowledge articles, architecture documents, and strategic plans to guide the technical direction of the department

• Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field preferred, OR eight years of related work experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of five years of IT or related operational experience
• Minimum of five years of experience within a given technology or knowledge field
• Industry standard certifications within the given content area of expertise to be obtained within one year of hire:
  CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent)

• Expertise in information security incident detection, response, and containment
