Position Summary
This position will be responsible for:

• System Analytics
• Data Analytics
• Business Analytics
• Project Management

The Business Systems Analyst will report to the Sr. Program Manager & Advisor. The position will primarily be remote. The position will entail limited travel to the home office or occasionally to visit clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Systems Analyst

• Coordinates with managers and users to identify systems problems; assesses severity of the issues and prioritizes responses as appropriate.
• Assists with system tests and collaborates with programmers to resolve issues and errors.
• Works with users to identify system requirements; develops processing procedures and systems modifications to meet these specifications.
• Prepares specifications and documents for programmers.

Data Analyst

• Oversees database development and modification efforts.
• Designs and implements secure, efficient, and accurate databases.
• Develops and maintains documentation and standards.
• Assists Senior Project Manager & Advisor and identifies and resolves production and/or applications development problems related to the use of the database management system software or utilities.
• Gathers, organizes, and interprets statistical data from the database to provide reports to, and answer questions from, upper management.

Business Analyst

• Collaborates with business staff to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by the information systems and technology.
• Provides recommendations regarding the evolution of the system.
• Develops and communicates detailed specifications for implementation.
• Researches and analyzes the nature, effect, and results of system difficulties.
• Satisfies data sampling, project analysis, testing verification, and other user requests from existing client databases.
• Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks.

Project Management

• Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
• Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
• Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
• Communicates and collaborates with teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of computer languages used within database.
• Understanding of database design and construction.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.
• At least three years in Data Processing, with at least two years of experience with database management systems.
