As Head of Platform Engineering, you will build the technical foundation that powers Bizee’s evolution into an AI-driven Entrepreneur Operating System. This is a strategic, transformational role responsible for modernizing our core platform moving from legacy patterns to a modular, API-first, event-driven architecture that accelerates product velocity, improves reliability, and enables a future partner ecosystem.

You will lead the engineering teams responsible for the infrastructure, services, tooling, modular components, and internal platforms that support all product squads.

This role requires a systems thinker who can balance execution with architectural vision and who knows how to scale platforms for long-term extensibility, performance, and intelligence.

Platform Modernization & Architecture

• Lead the transition to a scalable, modular, API-first platform that supports rapid product development, AI-driven workflows, and partner integrations.
• Design and maintain platform services, shared components, internal APIs, and event-driven systems that enable clarity, resilience, and extensibility.
• Establish architectural standards, patterns, and guardrails that guide all product engineering teams.

Infrastructure, Reliability & Observability

• Build reliable, secure, and observable infrastructure that supports scale, performance, and high availability.
• Evolve CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and internal platforms to improve engineering efficiency.
• Own systems that support real-time processing, automation, and future machine learning workloads.

Developer Experience & Multi-Squad Enablement:

• Create the internal tooling and platforms that make engineering faster, safer, and more predictable across multiple product squads.
• Reduce friction, eliminate operational overhead, and enable teams to ship with confidence.
• Ensure platform services are well-documented, easy to adopt, and grounded in strong developer ergonomics.

API Strategy & Partner Ecosystem Enablement:

• Work with the CTO to design and publish APIs that support both internal product teams and future external partners.
• Ensure APIs are scalable, consistent, discoverable, and built for long-term extensibility.
• Lay the technical groundwork for Bizee’s partner and channel ecosystem.

Leadership & Team Building:

• Build and lead a high-performing Platform Engineering organization.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers; establish clear ownership, rituals, and accountability.
• Drive a culture of craftsmanship, curiosity, iteration, and high performance.

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Partner closely with Product, Data, Growth, Finance, and Operations to ensure platform decisions align with business goals.
• Translate technical constraints and opportunities into clear business impact.
• Act as a strategic partner in shaping the direction, velocity, and execution of the product roadmap.

• 10+ years in engineering, with significant experience leading platform, infrastructure, or backend systems at scale.
• Proven success modernizing legacy architectures into modular, service-oriented, or event-driven systems.
• Strong technical fluency in distributed systems, APIs, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and developer tooling.
• Experience supporting AI/ML, workflow automation, or real-time event pipelines (preferred but not required).
• Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and drive engineering excellence.
• A systems thinker who simplifies complexity and builds for both speed and long-term extensibility.
