Principal Business Systems Analyst
Our client is seeking a seasoned Principal Business Systems Analyst with deep Salesforce expertise to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across enterprise systems. This individual will act as a trusted advisor to business and technical stakeholders, translating evolving business needs into scalable, well-governed system solutions within an agile environment.
This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, or California.
Principal Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities- Lead enterprise-level requirements discovery and solution design for Salesforce-centric implementations, integrations, enhancements, and optimizations across multiple departments.
- Serve as a Salesforce subject matter expert, advising on platform capabilities, data models, workflows, security roles, and integrations to support scalable, compliant solutions.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and technical documentation, including process maps, use cases, acceptance criteria, SQL queries, and change requests.
- Partner closely with engineering and QA teams to develop test strategies, test scripts, test data, defect tracking, and release readiness communications.
- Mentor and guide agile teams on analysis best practices, sprint commitments, documentation standards, continuous improvement, and delivery quality.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting complex, enterprise applications in an agile delivery environment.
- Hands‑on experience with Salesforce architecture, configuration, data models, workflows, integrations, and user role/profile management.
- Demonstrated ability to assess existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and apply LEAN or structured analysis techniques to drive efficiency and automation.
- Experience working with integrated enterprise systems such as healthcare platforms, billing systems, or other third‑party applications, including SQL‑based data analysis.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
- On‑call or after‑hours support may be required on a rotating basis.
- IIBA certification expected upon hire or within an agreed timeframe.
