Position: IT Specialist (Remote – California)
Location: California

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an IT Specialist in California (USA). As an IT Specialist, you will ensure the smooth operation, security, and optimization of company technology systems, supporting staff across multiple departments. You will manage core IT services, maintain hardware and software, and troubleshoot issues to keep operations running efficiently.

This role offers the opportunity to improve workflows, implement automation, and enhance collaboration through technology. You will also work closely with cross‑functional teams and SaaS vendors to provide hands‑on support, train staff, and implement best practices. This position is ideal for a proactive problem‑solver who enjoys both technical challenges and process improvement in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Accountabilities
  • Manage and maintain core IT services, including Google Workspace, macOS devices (via MDM tools), and security monitoring systems
  • Provide timely support for staff across the company, including onboarding and offboarding
  • Monitor hardware, software, plug‑ins, and cloud systems for performance and security issues
  • Document technical processes, create guides, and train staff on updates and new releases
  • Identify recurring technical issues and implement automated solutions or streamlined workflows
  • Collaborate with operations and cross‑functional teams to optimize technology use and improve efficiency
  • Maintain hardware inventory, manage upgrades, replacements, and device lifecycle
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or related roles
  • Hands‑on experience with macOS, MDM tools (Kandji, Apple Business Manager), and Google Workspace administration
  • Knowledge of IT security practices, including phishing simulations and DMARC compliance
  • Familiarity troubleshooting SaaS platforms (Slack, Asana, Zoom, Hub Spot, Kajabi, Greenhouse, Stripe)
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and curiosity to investigate technical challenges
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical users
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple systems and projects simultaneously
  • Preferred: experience with DNS/domain management (GoDaddy, Cloudflare) and automation tools (Zapier, Flowsana)
