Description

Our direct end client is looking for a QA contractor for a contract to hire role. This position is 100%.

  Wisconsin (WI), Minnesota (MN), Iowa (IA), Illinois (IL), South Dakota (SD) and North Dakota (ND) – may have to go into office one day a month (Client pays expenses)
• Pay Rate: 35-40 w2

• Looking for QA with hardware, device, sensor knowledge
• Experience with IoT devices and data flow between systems
• QA for embedded development experience preferred

• Test Planning, Execute on, and Analysis:
  Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and strategies.
• Create and execute test cases to determine if so ware functions as intended.
• Use verification on tests like smoke, regression, exploratory, etc., to identify software bugs.
• Deliver detailed defect reports to developers, including steps to reproduce, logs, and clear descriptions of actual vs. expected results.
• Help assure the accuracy of programs and software prior to production

• Assist in the maintenance of Confluence documentation
• Communicate the severity of issues to the scrum team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to diagnose problems.
• Monitor QA metrics to identify improvement areas.
• Communicate quality standards and procedures with scrum team.
• Participate in project meetings to provide input from a testing perspective

• Build knowledge of quality standards and user acceptance.
• Stay updated with new methods, tools, and trends in QA.
• Support plans to improve QA processes.
• Expand knowledge in SQL, APIs, and Performance testing
• Increase proficienty of application integration points, and business domains.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of Scrum practices.

• Foundational understanding of so ware quality standards.
• Knowledge of different testing methodologies (e.g., manual, automated, regression, exploratory).
• Familiarity with various software testing methods and tools.
• Basic understanding of Scrum, Project Management principles or Agile frameworks.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Adequate documentation skills to accurately create artifacts of software testing Perform tests in a controlled environment to avoid impacting live systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly
• Apply Analytical thinking in regard to application behavior and desired outcomes.
• High attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the so ware are thoroughly tested.
• Manage work to effectively to meet deadlines and ensure thorough testing within project timelines

• Ability to gather and analyze functional requirements for both existing systems and new projects.
• Ability to adapt to new tools, methods, and trends in QA.
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in the ?eld of QA.
• Review specifications technical designs, and mockups to provide meaningful feedback.
