About the Role

This is a strategic, consultative position designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of SEO and client engagement. As an SEO Strategist, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, translating technical SEO capabilities into real-world business impact. Think of this role as similar to a Sales Engineer—but instead of software demos, you're helping clients understand and implement next-gen SEO practices tailored for AI-driven search engines.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with sales and customer success teams to deliver SEO expertise during pre-sales and onboarding.
  • Conduct in-depth SEO assessments and articulate technical recommendations in client-facing settings.
  • Translate complex search optimization concepts into actionable plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Serve as a strategic consultant, guiding customers through implementation and best practices.
  • Stay current on trends in generative AI and search to inform client strategies and internal product feedback.
  • Support the development of reusable resources such as playbooks, case studies, and onboarding templates.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in SEO strategy, technical SEO, or a related digital marketing field.
  • Strong understanding of how AI is reshaping search, including tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google SGE.
  • Proven ability to engage with clients in a consultative manner, ideally in a SaaS or agency environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort in tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or equivalent platforms.
  • Bonus:
    Experience in a pre-sales or sales engineering capacity.
