Microsoft Purview Administrator – SAIC
Join us at SAIC as a Microsoft Purview Administrator. This full‑time, remote position based in Illinois requires a public trust clearance. You will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of Microsoft Purview applications within a highly secure, classified environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and test data governance and compliance policies, including data classification, labeling, and DLP policies.
- Deploy and configure Microsoft Purview and integrated Microsoft 365 services; administer role groups, custom roles, and permissions within the Purview portal.
- Mitigate risks by protecting sensitive data and implementing information protection solutions.
- Manage and support eDiscovery workflows, including data collection, search, and export for legal and compliance teams.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, IT, security teams, and business application owners to implement solutions and enforce governance best practices, providing training and support to users.
- Monitor Purview service performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct regular audits of data governance practices.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of progressive IT experience.
- US Citizen, must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Purview administration.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance principles.
- Experience with DLP, data classification, and sensitivity labeling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 environments and related services like Microsoft Entra .
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Power Shell is a plus.
- Experience with risk assessments and audits.
- Ability to develop and implement security and compliance policies.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Target salary range: $80,001 – $120,000.
