About This Position
Work from home for an important project under the direction of the Branch of Geo Data Examination and Validation. Coordinate with federal government GIS specialists, Program Analysts, and Physical Scientists. Respond to project requests involving the use of various technologies such as Smartsheet.
GOV and the ESRI Suite of GIS software.
This role requires a Geographic Information Systems Analyst with several years of experience who can dependably and reliably work full‑time from home using government furnished equipment such as a laptop, collaborating with team members remotely as needed. - Degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or related fields.
- Ideally 4-7 years of experience in GIS.
- Mapping of legal land descriptions from Trust Asset and Accounting Management System for parcels, tracts, ROW, leases and other incumbrances on Trust Lands.
- Migrating Land Area Code data to ESRI Enterprise Parcel Fabric on the federal agency AWS portal.
- Creation of Dashboards and / or Dynamic views used for conveying information as well as work progress for division projects.
- Assisting in Fee‑To‑Trust process and working with the Land Description and Validation Request Team.
- Serve as the project manager for team by acting as the intermediate between contractor management and federal Contracting Officer Representative. Knowledge of legal land descriptions, right of ways & leases.
- Use various cartographic/spatial functions when appropriate to make maps/applications fit stakeholders needs utilizing ESRI parcel fabric environment.
- Develop geospatial dashboards/applications to support leadership/OTS Division Chief missions.
- Develop scripts as needed to support geospatial workflows and applications. Help develop and assist with the parcel fabric process/workflow.
- All‑new digital spatial data shall have appropriate compliant metadata produced for each dataset and must conform to data standards for integration with existing datasets.
- Establish templates for mapping products/applications when appropriate to ensure the best data consistency possible.
- Document all procedures that do not already have SOPs for data consistency and knowledge transfer.
- Regular, dependable attendance.
- This position routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptops, computers, phones in a work‑from‑home environment.
- The physical requirements of this position are described as sedentary.
- Sedentary work involves: sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally.
