As a Service Now ITOM and ITAM Technical Architect, you will be responsible for working with clients on Service Now engagements.

Job Description

We are in need of a Service Now ITOM and ITAM Technical Architect. This is a full time, remote position.

The Senior Service Now ITOM and ITAM Technical Consultant will be able to execute some of the duties from each of the technical roles on a Service Now team, including: system administrator, quality assurance tester, implementer, and developer. The Senior Technical Consultant has a proven record of supporting first line inbound contacts via incidents and requests. Often managing user and group administrative requests, their responsibilities also include reporting, form changes, dashboard creation and first level problem solving skills.

Occasional writing and executing test plans and collaboration with peers and more advanced Technical Consultants, these associates are expected to consistently demonstrate the ability to perform the role without regular need of guidance, coaching, or instruction. A strong desire to expand their Service Now knowledge is key for advancement and promotion to additional roles and responsibilities.

What You’ll Do
  • Refine stories
  • Collaborate with business consultants to align technical work with process goals
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to the implementation team
  • Ensure adherence to Service Now platform standards and customer security policies
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint deliverables
  • Provide advisory support
  • Troubleshoot issues and support UAT and go-live activities
  • Deliver documentation and support knowledge transfer
  • Partner with the team to resolve UAT findings
  • Demonstrate strong software development and debugging/troubleshooting skills with the ability to research and recommend improvements
  • Build and deploy UI policies, UI actions, script includes, scheduled jobs, import sets and transform maps
  • Maintain existing and develop additions to the service catalog and related workflows
  • Implement software solutions using Service Now tools and best practices
  • Assist in building workflows and writing automated scripts
  • Maintain and continuously improve processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools
  • Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of Service Now and its integrated applications
  • Load, manipulate and maintain data between Service Now and other systems
  • Service Now ITOM and ITAM Asset Management
  • Lead workshops, tech solutioning, development, and unit testing for ITOM Discovery and/or Service Mapping and/or ITAM HAM Pro / ITAM SAM Pro
  • Demo CMDB Health and Service Map solutions
  • Set up On-premise and SaaS provider integrations to 3rd party asset applications (e.g., MS Office, Adobe Cloud, SCCM/InTune/Entra, Tanium, Jamf, etc.)
  • Execute discovery runs to ensure like-for-like functionality and validate data collection
  • Create and utilize reports and dashboards to demonstrate current and historical usage
  • Assist with configuring content libraries, SCCM/InTune/Entra and Jamf Service Graph Connectors
  • Configure Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN) from a vendor for automatic asset creation
  • Assist with data loads, including stockroom creation
  • Lead and participate in relevant workshops and stakeholder meetings
