Computer Operator - Mainframe, JCL, Control M

* Job Description
* We're looking for a
* Computer Operator
* to join our team and support critical mainframe operations. This is a
* remote position*, but you
* must live in Wisconsin
* to be eligible. Your first few days will be on site in Madison, WI.
You'll start on
* first shift for training
* and then transition to your assigned shift. This role is essential for monitoring and managing batch jobs on the mainframe, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues as they arise.
This is a long term, on-going
position, 2nd shift Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 1:30 - 10:30PM,
and a 12 hour, overnight shift on Saturday, 5:30PM - 6:30AM

* Key Responsibilities
* * Monitor and analyze complex job flows on
* MVS/OS/390 systems*.

* Resolve job abends and troubleshoot issues using
* JCL*.

* Perform scheduling requests and job submissions using
* Control-M*.

* Serve as a liaison between technical developers and production support.

* Document issues using Tivoli and maintain job documentation.

* Perform QA checks on new jobs to ensure compliance with standards.

* Communicate professionally with programmers, customers, and team members.

* Participate in meetings and collaborate across multiple environments (Acceptance & Production).

* Train and mentor other staff as needed.

* Pay and Benefits
* The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
