IT Programmer Analyst

Position: IT PROGRAMMER ANALYST 3 or 4
Location: New Orleans

This position serves as a senior level analyst responsible for supporting the LSU Health People Soft Financial Management and Supply Chain Management ERP system. Critical responsibilities of the position include technical support, problem debugging and analysis, correction of system bugs and defects, implementation of modifications and system enhancements and the development of/creation of system reports. The position works independently as well as with the team for the discovery, planning and design phases as well as the implementation process.

This position works closely with end-users, support staff and other IT teams as well as with senior administrative stakeholders. The employee provides life cycle management in the form of applying application updates and conducting major upgrades. The employee provides end user support and acts as a subject matter expert in at least three functional modules of the application. The employee is responsible for attending meetings as a representative of the team in departmental meetings and working independently in coordination with other teams when needed.

The employee mentors and directs junior analysts through direct mentoring, collaborative project design sessions and through scheduled training activities. This position is eligible for remote work in accordance with CM-73 – Remote Work Policy. This position will be hired at an IT Analyst level 3 or 4 based upon the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Minimum Qualifications Required Education

Discipline(s) Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering or related curriculum from an accredited four-year college or university.
