Role OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Junior QA Engineer to support the testing of SCORM-based eLearning courses within our custom Learning Management System (LMS). The ideal candidate will have basic QA knowledge, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn SCORM/LMS testing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in testing SCORM packages (SCORM 1.2) integrated with our custom LMS.
- Verify course behaviors such as completion tracking, scoring, navigation, resume behavior, and progress.
- Test course functionality across multiple browsers and devices.
- Validate communication between SCORM course runtime and LMS (tracking data, manifest structure).
- Report and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure Dev Ops).
- Collaborate with developers, instructional designers, and other QA team members on issue resolution.
- Participate in writing test cases, test checklists, and testing documentation.
- Perform regression, functional, and UI/UX testing for LMS features when required.
Skills & Qualifications
- 0 – 1.5 years of software testing experience (internships or projects accepted).
- Basic understanding of Manual QA testing concepts.
- Familiarity with eLearning or SCORM (training can be provided).
- Ability to use browser debugging tools (Chrome Dev Tools) to check console/network logs.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/XML is preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Eagerness to learn SCORM standards, LMS behavior, and eLearning technologies.
- Exposure to SCORM standards (SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004).
- Knowledge of LMS platforms or experience with SCORM testing tools (e.g., SCORM Cloud).
- Familiarity with authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Captivate, or Rise.
- Working hours:
5am-2pm CST - 20 days of annual leave.
