Job SummaryOur client is looking to hire a team of Technical Writers / Labeling Specialists to assist with a large backlog of high priority projects. This team will complement the work being done by a pre-existing team and will have the opportunity to go through a 2-3-week initial training period to review the project requirements, understand SOP’s, and determine the work that needs to be completed.
The work will include investigation and production of a large volume of labels to be created for surgical and breast health solutions. The ideal candidate(s) will have experience with XML and Frame Maker, and knowledge of Author-it tool is also helpful, as the team will be actively using it. Having strong written and verbal communication is a must.
ResponsibilitiesExecute to deliver high quality documentation and in-product text updates for Instructions for Use and Packaging Component Labels. Receive detailed instruction on most tasks. Work in cooperation with peers at the same level with ease. Utilize the knowledge of others with more experience. Work effectively in teams to align priorities and manage execution.
Develops, writes, edits, and maintains technical documentation.
Research, write, edit, compile, revise, and review end-user documentation with minimal support from the Lead.

- Locate proper source Labeling in Agile
- Save As to create new Item Masters, Check fields for accuracy
- Locate source Labeling, Save As with the new items, update address
- Create Change Markup, PDF View file, Signature File
- Experience creating service manuals, IFUs (Instruction for Use), knowledge of medical symbols
- Demonstrated knowledge in DTP software applications, Adobe Frame Maker
- Knowledge of digital content software applications such as Mad Cap Flare or Author It
- Knowledge of Agile Software Document Management Solution
- Basic knowledge of QSR/GMP
- Basic experience with print publishing, design, or document control programs
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel)

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 – $60.00/hr.
