Sr. Splunk Engineer - TS​/SCI CI Poly | Chantilly, VA

Optiv + Clear Shark is seeking a highly skilled Senior Splunk Engineer (Federal Managed and Advanced Services) to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing the Splunk platform to automate and orchestrate security operations. This role involves developing custom playbooks, integrating with other security tools, and enhancing the organization’s security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create custom Splunk reports, dashboards, and content based on customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot Splunk instances.
• Follow standard operating procedures with minimal oversight.
• Analyze client needs and objectives.
• Serve as escalation point for complex issues.
• Support Level I and II Engineers with sophisticated tasks.

Qualifications:

• TS/SCI with CI polygraph clearance.
• Security certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
• Experience in classified environments.
• Strong understanding of identity, SIEM, cybersecurity, and infrastructure concepts.
• Splunk Core certification required.
• Splunk ITSI certification preferred.
• Splunk Certified Architect/Consultant preferred.
• Interest or experience with Splunk SOAR, Enterprise Security, and Cribl Stream.
• Proficiency in Linux and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, Terraform, JSON).
• Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work remotely as needed.
