This Systems Engineer role functions as a senior escalation engineer within the service delivery team. Think of it as the general surgeon on call. You assess quickly, stabilize environments, and drive resolution with minimal direction while mentoring others and improving documentation so fewer issues escalate over time.

• Own Tier 3 triage and resolution across servers, identity, networking, security, and end user environments
• Support and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop environments including sessions, images, scaling, policies, and application delivery
• Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and post project documentation
• Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers on troubleshooting approach, communication, and documentation
• Communicate clearly with non technical client stakeholders and manage expectations
• Partner with engineers to improve standards and reduce repeat issues

• 3+ years of MSP experience handling escalations in multi client environments
• Strong Microsoft core skills including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDP, TCP IP, and VPN technologies
• Calm and methodical triage mindset with the ability to stabilize issues quickly
• Strong written and verbal documentation and client communication skills
• Local to Orange County or Los Angeles with flexibility for occasional onsite work
• VMware vSphere implementations and migrations
• Networking experience including Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, VLANs, and Sonic Wall firewalls
• Experience with HPE servers and Nimble or MSA storage
• Security tooling experience such as Sentinel One, Huntress, and Acronis or equivalent
• Experience with Connect Wise Manage, Ninja, and IT Glue or similar tools

• $85,000 to $95,000 depending on experience
