The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a Service Now ITOM Operations Management SAM/HAM Discovery Administrator to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).

Job Description

This is a remote position with up to 10% travel.

The Service Now ITO Discovery Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and ongoing operation of the Service Now ITOM suite with a primary focus on Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Discovery. This role involves leveraging the Service Now platform to manage and optimize software licenses and hardware assets, ensuring compliance, and enhancing the efficiency of IT asset management processes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Service Now Discovery, CMDB, SAM, HAM, and a solid understanding of IT operations and asset management best practices.

• Asset Management:
• Develop and maintain ITOM processes, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Track and manage software licenses and hardware inventory, ensuring accurate data and compliance.
• Perform regular audits of software and hardware assets to identify discrepancies and potential compliance issues.

• Discovery Process:
• Analyze asset data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Generate and present reports on software compliance, asset utilization, and other key metrics to stakeholders.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights based on asset data.

• License Compliance and Optimization:
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with software licensing terms and conditions.
• Identify and remediate instances of under- or over-utilization of software licenses.
• Optimize software license usage to achieve cost savings and improved efficiency.

• Data Management and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of software assets within the SAM/HAM tool.
• Develop and generate reports on software/hardware compliance, usage, and other key metrics.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making processes.

• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay current with Service Now updates, new features, and industry trends in ITOM.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the asset management lifecycle.
• Lead or participate in projects to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations management.

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
