DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Inova Health is looking for a dedicated Dev Ops Engineer 1 to join the team. This remote role will be full-time day‑shift from Monday – Friday.

• Assists in maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, or Git Hub Actions.
• Supports containerized applications and environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Performs basic scripting and automation tasks (Bash, Power Shell, Python).
• Monitors system performance and escalates issues to senior engineers.
• Participates in troubleshooting and resolving incidents under supervision.
• Documents processes and contributes to the team’s knowledge base.
• Collaborates with developers and IT staff to support deployments.
• Assists in executing standard operating procedures for deployments, rollbacks, and incident response.
• Learns and follows platform security, compliance, and change‑management practices in regulated healthcare environments.
• Participates in post‑incident reviews to understand root cause analysis and preventive controls.
• Develops baseline familiarity with cloud cost awareness, tagging standards, and resource lifecycle management.
• Demonstrates continuous learning through guided labs, certifications, or internal enablement programs.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree; or Associate’s degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required.
• Experience:
  
  Experience in IT, software development, or Dev Ops‑related roles.

• At least 1 year of experience in software development, or Dev Ops‑related roles preferred.

This position is eligible for remote work for candidates residing in the following states – VA, MD, DC, DE, FL, GA, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, WV.
