IT Technician

IT Technician – Houston, Texas (Contract)

We are looking for an IT Technician to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting asset management efforts, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring accurate data entry. This is a long-term contract position that offers a mix of on-site and remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the service desk team to locate and identify missing computer equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware assets through efficient data entry.
• Assist in the recovery and tracking of over 500 missing computers.
• Coordinate with the service desk team for equipment retrieval and shipping.
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with team members and stakeholders.
• Work closely with a team of desktop technicians to ensure smooth operations.
• Utilize hardware knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues.
• Follow established protocols and procedures to manage IT assets effectively.
• Support ongoing inventory reconciliation efforts to ensure accountability.
• Communicate findings and updates regularly to the IT Manager.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in computer hardware and associated technologies.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent Customer Service Abilities And Interpersonal Skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Previous experience in asset management or IT support roles.
• Knowledge of inventory tracking systems and processes.
• Problem‑solving skills to address equipment recovery challenges.
• Availability to work on‑site Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.
