Position Summary

The Marketing Manager – Data Center Solutions will lead and execute marketing strategies that support VTC’s rapidly growing data center and mission‑critical power business. This role partners closely with Sales, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to position VTC as a preferred transformer and power‑solutions partner for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center customers.

This role is hybrid
, with regular on‑site collaboration in Roanoke, VA and flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for VTC’s data center transformer and power solutions portfolio
  • Own market positioning, value propositions, and competitive differentiation for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center segments
  • Monitor industry trends including AI data centers, load growth, energy efficiency, redundancy, and sustainability
  • Partner with Data Center Sales leadership to create high‑impact sales enablement tools (presentations, one‑pagers, case studies, ROI tools)
  • Support RFPs, RFQs, and strategic pursuits with tailored marketing content
  • Help drive lead generation, account‑based marketing (ABM), and key account campaigns
Content & Brand Leadership
  • Develop technical and commercial content such as white papers, application notes, blogs, customer success stories, and videos
  • Ensure consistent messaging aligned with VTC’s brand, engineering capabilities, and manufacturing strengths
  • Translate complex electrical and power concepts into compelling, customer‑focused messaging
Campaigns, Events & Industry Presence
  • Plan and execute digital campaigns, email marketing, and website content related to data center solutions
  • Lead marketing support for industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events (e.g., data center, energy, and infrastructure forums)
  • Coordinate thought‑leadership initiatives and speaking opportunities
Analytics & Performance
  • Track marketing KPIs including pipeline contribution, campaign performance, and content engagement
  • Use data and market insights to continuously refine strategy and improve ROI
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in industrial, electrical, energy, or infrastructure markets
  • Experience supporting complex, technical sales cycles and long‑lead capital equipment
  • Strong collaboration skills with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Preferred
  • Experience marketing to data centers, mission‑critical facilities, utilities, or energy infrastructure
  • Familiarity with transformers, substations, power distribution, or electrical equipment
  • Experience with account‑based marketing (ABM) and CRM/marketing automation tools
  • Background in manufacturing or engineered‑to‑order products
