Citrix Administrator

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Citrix Administrator to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support servers for a mixed customer environment. This position will be located in Radford, VA and will be a remote position.

This position is for a Senior Citrix Administrator supporting the Windows team in a mixed and growing environment of Windows 2019 and Windows 2022. The role involves working with the existing Windows team to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support servers for a mixed customer environment. You will plan, execute, and implement new system hardware and software, and create and maintain team technical instructions, operating procedures, and policies as needed.

You will monitor and tune system performance, ensure ongoing operation of the servers, harden the servers, and report the overall security and operational status. You will also recommend improvements to the enterprise and manage new software/hardware integrations as required, while providing utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions. Strong communication and teamwork are essential. The position supports the lifecycle of a mixed environment of vendor equipment in the datacenter, including firmware version control and periodic preventive maintenance.

You will also be expected to recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies in the current environment.

High School diploma with 6 - 9 years of relevant experience, or commensurate experience.

Required Skills and Experience

• Clearance Required:
  
  Secret
• CompTIA Security+. Computing Environment (CE) Certification (e.g., MCSE, Server+, CCNA, Red Hat, Palo, etc.). Certification can be waived for 30 days after project join date.
• Experience in Computer Science or IT
• 5+ years' experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or Engineer designing, installing, and maintaining Citrix Xen App, Net Scaler Gateway, Citrix Store Front, and Citrix Director
• 3+ years’ experience automating tasks using Power Shell
• 3+ years’ experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex applications and websites (IIS, Apache, etc.)
• 3+ years’ experience in an environment with complex networking solutions and senior-level knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team

PENDING CONTRACT AWARD

• Bachelor's degree in computer science
• 3+ years’ experience supporting cybersecurity patch management and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), SRG, RMF, SCA-V, and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA)
• 3+ years’ experience managing enterprise-level Active Directory structures
• 3+ years’ experience creating and maintaining complex MS Group Policy implementations
• 3+ years’ experience creating, maintaining, and following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution
• 3+ years’ experience configuring and maintaining services such as DNS, SFTP, SMTP, and NTP
