We are seeking an experienced Data centre Operator to join our client's team in Cardiff on an initial 6-month contract. This role is central to ensuring our data centre operations run efficiently and securely, supporting key business systems and infrastructure services.

As a Data centre Operator, you will monitor and maintain systems within the data centre, respond to alerts, and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues quickly. You will also manage batch processing, Control-M scheduling, weekend releases, and assist with physical data centre activities such as patrols, temperature checks, and system availability testing.

You should have proven experience in data centre operations, good knowledge of Linux or UNIX, and familiarity with Control-M or similar scheduling tools. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a 24/7 shift environment are essential.
