QA Automation Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced QA Automation Manager to lead and expand their Quality Engineering team. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends technical expertise with team management. This is a fully remote position.

QA Automation Manager's Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of QA Engineers
• Design, build, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for backend systems and APIs
• Establish and own quality engineering processes and best practices across the organization
• Partner with development and product teams to define test strategies, plans, and release criteria
• Write, review, and improve automated test code and supporting infrastructure
• Drive QA hiring efforts and help scale the team as the company grows
• Act as a technical leader, providing guidance on coding standards, tools, and quality metrics

QA Automation Manager's Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or QA automation, with strong coding skills
• Proven people management experience in a QA or engineering environment
• Proficiency in Java or C# (exceptional Python candidates will be considered)
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining automation frameworks from the ground up
• Strong communication skills and ability to foster collaboration across teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Must be located in or willing to relocate to the NYC metro area (strong preference)
