Desktop Support Technician; Windows & Mac

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to the office
• A dedicated, quiet workspace at home
• Consistent, high-speed internet access (equipment provided)
• 2+ years of experience in help desk or technical support (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT/Networking/Computer field preferred
• Prior hands‑on troubleshooting experience with Windows, home networking, and peripherals
• Familiarity with macOS basics is a plus
• Strong triage and communication skills
• Excellent customer service demeanor
• Comfortable with coaching and working towards goals
• Effective multitasking and time management capabilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide remote technical support in a multi-level help desk setting
• Deliver consistent, high-quality technical assistance and customer service
• Troubleshoot various computer, peripheral, networking, and software/hardware issues remotely
• Offer accurate technical solutions and clear next steps to users
• Maintain thorough technical notes for each interaction
• Meet expectations for customer experience and technical quality
• Identify and escalation complex issues with proper documentation
• Offer service recommendations when appropriate during support interactions
