Job Purpose and ImpactThe Senior Consultant, Data Analytics & Reporting is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing complex datasets to generate actionable insights and builds detailed reports and dashboards using specific tools. Working independently, the role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity, performs data and statistical analysis using various programming languages, and presents findings to partners to meet business objectives.
KeyAccountabilities
- Capture, process, prepare, and analyze complex datasets to extract significant insights, developing and maintaining automated reporting systems.
- Cultivate and maintain positive partner relationships to understand data needs, provide insights, and uncover improvement opportunities.
- Build detailed reports and dashboards using various tools, designing and implementing data visualizations to communicate complex data clearly.
- Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data using statistical software and programming languages.
- Identify opportunities to improve data collection and reporting processes and implement standard methodologies for data management.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions alongside digital technology and data engineering teams, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Coaches and advise on improving data consumption and analytics capabilities.
- Conduct complex data analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights for decision making.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across all reports and analyses.
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience (typically 5 years or more).
- Experience translating complex data into information and actionable insights for stakeholders with varying technical aptitudes.
- Proficiency with SQL and understanding of relational data models.
- Programming experience, preferably in Python.
- Proficiency with data visualization software (Power
BI or Tableau). - Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with SAP and Salesforce.
- Location:
MN-Wayzata (Hybrid) or CAN-Calgary (Remote); relocation assistance is not provided. - The business will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
- Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
- Expected salary $110,000–$130,000 USD. Compensation varies by location, certifications, education, and experience; includes discretionary incentive award.
