ABOUTTHE ROLE
Peraton Labs seeks a dedicated, results-driven, customer-focused individual for a full-time business leadership position in our Secure Infrastructure Solutions business. Candidate will lead a small cybersecurity services consulting and research group to develop, win and deliver cybersecurity consulting and research services across market verticals. Candidate will apply leadership, business and technical skills to provide Customer and Business Management, Project and Proposal Management, Team Management and Technical Leadership.
Customerand Business Management
- Help Peraton Labs expand its cybersecurity consulting business by growing Peraton Labs presence in one or more new market verticals
- Develop business opportunities for cybersecurity consulting and research services
- Interact with customers to understand their needs and project scope, create and propose solutions, and plan and organize a delivery approach
- Appreciate and adapt to cybersecurity priorities and terms of art used by different sectors.
- Develop teaming relationships, both as a prime and subcontractor to win work opportunities.
- Support cybersecurity services work across Peraton business sectors, including Citizens Security & Public Sector, Cyber Missions, Defense and Healthcare
- Author marketing material, white papers, past performance descriptions, and slides for customer presentations, the Peraton Labs web site and trade shows.
- Be flexible with work-time to support proposals, delivery and customer requests in evenings and weekends
- Author technical statements of work with tasks, schedules, deliverables, assumptions, and risk management
- Prepare formal level of effort, pricing and budgets estimates with confidence substantiated with detailed Work Breakdown Structures
- Provide project oversight to ensure technical quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, risk management, and financial management estimating, tracking, and reporting monthly project hours, costs, and financial performance
- Manage a team of 5-10 employees in remote locations, review and approve time sheets, provide performance feedback and help employees with career growth
- Provide technical direction to team members
- Maintain high utilization of team members by growing business and placing members on programs across peer organizations
- Participate in technical delivery efforts, author technical reports and executive presentations, review and edit deliverables and assume technical leadership for important projects
- Innovate technical approaches and lead cybersecurity research programs
- Convey technical results in management-level key messages and recommendations
- Work with a diverse set of technologies and fields
- Manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously
- Constantly learn, read technical publications and research technologies with an eye toward business development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field with 10+ years relevant work experience
- U.S. Citizenship
- Eligible for SECRET clearance
- Established knowledge and cybersecurity services experience delivering cybersecurity consulting services in one or more market verticals (e.g., transportation, oil/gas, utilities, finance, pharmaceuticals, entertainment, state & local, industrial automation)
- Experience selling and delivering high-value services for enterprise security assessment, offensive/penetration testing, security program evaluation, technology evaluation, infrastructure assessments, risk assessment, and security program road maps
- Experience leading winning proposals to commercial RFPs and preferably cybersecurity research proposals for agencies like DARPA, DOE and DOT
- Technical familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), Zero Trust Architecture, NERC CIP and other security frameworks
- Strong project management, people management and resource scheduling skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and resilience in the face of adversity
- Certifications:
CISSP, PMP, OSCP, Security+ - Knowledge of electrical power systems, including power system architectures and control, protection, automation and communications used in the electrical power industry
