What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Provide consultation to system users (university staff and students) on system-related inquiries through tickets, chats, and an internal ticketing system
  • Write product documentation, including updates, changes for releases, and comprehensive instructions for system use
  • Record and document bugs and feature requests from users in Redmine
  • Engage with users to understand their needs and improve the system based on feedback
  • Assist in training new users and providing ongoing support
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Ability to work California time: 12:00 PM to 08:00 PM Pacific Time Zone
  • Strong desire to study and understand the system and its features in detail
  • Preparedness for long-term relationships and commitment to being part of the team
  • Experience in support roles, especially in English, is a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in logging and documenting bugs in various systems (Jira, Redmine, etc.)
  • Background in writing instructions and manuals in the IT field
  • Familiarity with Helpdesk systems (Kayako, Freshdesk, Zendesk, etc.)
  • Experience working in the IT field or with application/software releases
  • Knowledge of the educational technology sector
