Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Requirements Must Have
- Minimum of 10 years in cloud infrastructure, Dev Ops, platform engineering, or site reliability roles.
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically GKE, IAM, networking, monitoring, and storage services.
- Robust experience operating Kubernetes in a production environment.
- Strong programming abilities in Go for developing platform tools, automations, and service integrations.
- Proficient with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and contemporary Git workflows.
- Practical knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, or GCP Cloud Monitoring.
- Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems, reliability patterns, and design of scalable infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams in a remote-first setup.
- Design, construct, and manage infrastructure on GCP, including GKE, VPCs, networking, IAM, GCS, Cloud SQL/Postgres, and associated services.
- Configure and manage Kubernetes clusters, workloads, and supporting elements such as ingress, autoscaling, service mesh, and relevant tools.
- Create internal tools and automate processes utilizing Go, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes APIs.
- Establish and oversee monitoring, logging, alerting, and SLO management using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, and GCP’s operations suite.
- Enhance reliability through effective capacity planning, performance optimization, and proactive incident detection.
- Fortify platform security through thoughtful IAM design, workload identity management, secrets storage, firewalls, rate limiting, intrusion detection, and adherence to compliance standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and aid in refining incident management procedures.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to the advancement of infrastructure and platform methodologies within the team.
