Senior Network Engineer - L3

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide Business-As-Usual (BAU) coverage and lead network projects. This role involves managing day-to-day network operations, troubleshooting, implementing changes, and ensuring the stability and security of our infrastructure.

• Provide BAU coverage (typically 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (GMT); extended coverage may be required as per vendor contract).
• Manage fault reporting and troubleshooting with vendors (e.g., ISP issues).
• Execute BAU change management processes.
• Perform out-of-hours changes when necessary.
• Conduct hardware and software patching.
• Deliver project implementations while balancing BAU priorities.

• Must have hands-on experience with:
  • Cisco Networking:
    Switching, routing, and firewalls
  • Cisco Nexus core architecture (N9K & N3K)
  • Cisco FTD firewalls managed via FMC
  • Meraki Switching:
    Access layer deployment

• Used in VST and remote offices

• Desirable Knowledge:
  • VMware and Microsoft Azure
  • Netskope (advantageous but not essential)

  Qualifications & Skills:
  
  
  • Strong real-world knowledge of Cisco and Meraki technologies; certifications (Cisco, Meraki) are highly preferable.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between technical teams and the helpdesk, monitoring ticket progress and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Confident in contributing to daily stand-ups and weekly planning calls.
