Aquila Technology is seeking a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Specialist to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The team is looking for a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and service monitoring specialist to support the CMDB including inventory, service mapping, and service observability through the Solar Winds platform. The ideal candidate will ensure that all IT assets, configurations, and service dependencies are accurately tracked and up-to-date, maintaining a comprehensive inventory in the CMDB that supports better decision-making and faster incident resolution.

This individual will be responsible for administration of the CMDB, responding to users questions and updating documentation. The ideal candidate will work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain an accurate inventory of assets. Experience with ITIL processes, administration of Service Now CMDB, and first‑hand experience in service monitoring / observability solutions like Solar Winds will be key.

It is critical that this position be able to talk to system administrators and CMDB users, and be able to use appropriate terminology between the two.

• U.S Citizen – Must be able to obtain and Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
• Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance and obtain an SCI. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
  Active Secret is highly preferred
• Remote – must be willing to travel to MA

• Degree Level:Bachelor’s Degree
• Application and infrastructure monitoring (system performance, identifying issues, troubleshooting)
• Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)
• Service Now Development
• Service Now ITSM Development
• Software Development Life Cycle Models (Agile)
• Integrating alerts into Service Now (ITOM)
• Logging and Monitoring (Solar Winds, ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, Datadog)
