Relational DBA
Contract: 12-18 months
Location: Remote, Within the State of Texas
Our client needs a Relational DBA for a long-term remote project within Texas. The DBA will assist in planning, developing, maintaining, and monitoring integrated database systems, ensuring that new applications' conceptual and design phases align with database environment parameters.
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills with a high-profile client. The DBA must work independently, using initiative and judgment effectively.
Qualifications/Requirements:- BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 6+ years of experience in Database Administration
- Knowledge of EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technologies
- Preferred: SNOMED, LOINC, HL7, AWS RDB, SAS
- Experience with SQL Server monitoring and performance tuning
- Project leadership and implementation skills
- Experience with data pipelines and ETL structures
- Designing, creating, maintaining, and monitoring data models
- Developing production databases, performance monitoring, program review, and optimization
- Database tuning, indexing, data modeling, troubleshooting, upgrades, security, disaster recovery, high availability, backups, and data integrity procedures
- Ensuring user interfaces comply with accessibility standards
- Managing database security, backups, and performance tuning
- Implementing data security protocols for sensitive information
- Understanding data usage for capacity planning
- Supporting users with accessibility-related data access issues
