Contract Length: 6 months –
contract to hire

Our client, a highly regarded Texas State agency, is looking for a strong Business Systems Analyst to perform complex computer systems analysis work in support of the Business Systems Integration (BSI) unit. The BSA will coordinate the planning and analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing and improve existing systems.
Required Experience:7+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst/Business Analyst working on complex large-scale projectsStrong experience gathering requirements, quality assurance testingPrior experience and knowledge of the UI Benefits, and Tax SystemsExperience conducting fit/gap sessions, performing system configurationsExperience conducting testing including UAT and developing training documentationExperience preparing project documentation such as system requirement specifications, functional design specifications, architectural diagrams, flowcharts, screen prototypes, wireframes, interface specifications, data migration rules, logical workflow charts, database design specifications, and data warehouse design specificationsExperience with a document management system (object storage system is preferred)Strong knowledge of SDLC (agile, waterfall) principles and practicesExperience with project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to address project needsState of Texas or similar Federal/State project management experience is highly preferredThe role involves:
Acting as a resource to vendors for standards and templatesConducting joint application design sessions with customers and IT staff to define business requirements and develop software systems requirementsCommunicating with users to determine requirements of new programs/systems or modifications to existing programs/systemsPreparing complex preliminary and detailed designs, process models, flowcharts, data mapping, and other documentation for present and proposed business processes and automated systems to verify design logic and processesDeveloping comprehensive test plans and coordinating test activitiesReviewing documentation and performing quality assurance activitiesDiagnosing problems associated with automated applications and writing detailed specifications for developing or correcting softwareGenius Road, LLC is proud to be a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise, an Equal Opportunity Employer, and values diversity.
